Bent has tapped veteran comedy actor Larry Miller to play Amanda Peet's boss, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.
The comedy, from Scrubs writer Tad Quill, centers on Alex (Peet), a high-strung single mother who hires a laid-back womanizing construction worker, Pete (David Walton), to remodel her home.
Marcia Gay Harden to guest-star on Bent
Miller, 58, will appear in an upcoming episode as Bob, Alex's bold and, at times, offensive boss at her law firm. Bob isn't afraid to ruffle some feathers in business or social situations, and he does just that when he takes a liking to Alex's date, Pete, instead of her when they all attend a colleague's wedding.
Best known for his roles in Boston Legal and 10 Things I Hate About You, Miller most recently appeared on Curb Your Enthusiasm and will guest-star on NCIS on Tuesday, Dec. 13.
Bent will premiere sometime in 2012 on NBC.
